The DDA Part III came into effect on 18th October 2004 and requires all goods, facilities and service providers to make reasonable adjustments to physical features of their premises or make alternative arrangements to make access available. Braille and tactile signs are an important part of these arrangements to ensure easier access for the partially sighted and blind population.
